Interpreting
As a registered interpreter, I abide by the Code of Professional Conduct of the National Register of Public Service Interpreters and hold DBS and CTC clearance.
Interpreting is provided on a face to face, video or telephone basis.
Transcription
Transcription is converting the content of an audio file to an electronic text document. I offer transcription only (audio in English and text in English), translated transcription (audio in English and text in Portuguese - or vice-versa) and source and target, which is a combination of the two.
Translation
I translate emails, documents, technical manuals, books, articles, financial spreadsheets, training materials and other types of documents.
Translations reflect the original text whilst holding a natural flow in the target language and follow the local conventions in terms of date format, units and currency.
I am also very experienced in localisation (translation of web content) and can translate websites and other web-based material using specialist software.
Intercultural Consultancy
The traditions that shape one's way of conducting business may be very different from those of the societies where business is being targeted. Knowing both cultures, I am able to assist in identifying obstacles and finding sensitive ways to overcome them.
